Our People

Marcus T. – Lead Service Technician

Marcus has been turning wrenches in Los Angeles for 18 years, the last nine of them with us. He holds an EPA 608 Universal certification, which means he can legally and safely handle any refrigerant a residential system uses, from R-22 in older units to R-410A and the newer A2L blends. His specialty is diagnosing intermittent faults, the kind where an AC works fine for three days, then quits on the hottest afternoon of the year. Marcus is the technician who figures out why. When he’s not chasing a shorted control board through a crawlspace, he rebuilds old motorcycles in his garage in Eagle Rock. He says the wiring on a 1978 Honda is easier to read than a modern heat pump’s motherboard. He might be right.

Elena R. – Senior Installation Lead

Elena has installed more than 600 residential HVAC systems across Los Angeles, from studio apartments in Koreatown to sprawling hillside homes in Studio City. She’s NATE-certified in air conditioning installation and service, and she runs every install crew the same way: the load calculation gets done before the equipment gets ordered, and the written price gets handed over before a single tool comes out. That’s The Kingswell Way, and Elena treats it as a personal standard, not a company policy. Her installs are known around the shop for one detail: when she leaves, the filter is in, the thermostat is programmed, and the area around the unit is cleaner than when she arrived. She grew up in San Pedro and still goes back every weekend to fish with her dad.

Dina K. – Service Coordinator

Dina keeps the schedule, manages same-day availability when a furnace quits in January, and makes sure every customer knows exactly when the technician will arrive and who will be walking through the door. Ray B. – Apprentice Technician

Ray joined the team two years ago through a technical program at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College, and he’s the reason we can offer same-day service without cutting corners on safety. He works alongside Marcus and Elena on every call type, handling the grunt work: pulling filters, checking capacitors, cleaning condenser coils, and learning the diagnostic patterns that take years to develop. Ray is EPA 608 certified and currently working toward his NATE certification. He’s the one who will politely ask if he can pet your dog before he goes anywhere near the air handler. He grew up in Boyle Heights and can tell you the best taco truck within five blocks of almost any neighborhood between downtown and East Los Angeles. That’s useful when a job runs through lunch.
